Questions, corrections, or feedback about the NPI Lookup tool.
Get in Touch
We welcome feedback from healthcare professionals who use this tool in their daily workflows. Whether you have found a technical issue, have a question about how the tool works, want to suggest an improvement, or need to report inaccurate content on our educational pages, please reach out using the information below.
What We Can Help With
We can help with questions about how to use the NPI lookup tool, technical issues with search functionality, questions about our educational content (guides and blog posts), reporting errors in our written content (note: we cannot correct NPPES data — that must be done by providers through the official NPPES system at nppes.cms.hhs.gov), and general feedback about the tool experience.
What We Cannot Help With
We are unable to help with: correcting NPI records (contact CMS/NPPES directly at nppes.cms.hhs.gov), obtaining a new NPI number (apply at nppes.cms.hhs.gov — it's free), questions about your specific Medicare or Medicaid enrollment (contact your MAC or state Medicaid agency), DEA registration questions (contact the DEA Diversion Control Division at deadiversion.usdoj.gov), or credentialing decisions (contact your credentialing organization).
Response Time
We typically respond to inquiries within 2–5 business days. We are a small team, and while we read every message, high volumes may extend response times. For urgent billing or credentialing matters, please contact the relevant government agency directly — we are not a government service and cannot expedite any federal processes.
